Don't Cry」、「Walk Like a Man」等のヒットを連発し、一躍スターダムへのし上がった。1964年にVEE-JAYレーベルが倒産したのをきっかけにPHILIPSレーベルに移籍し、引き続きボブ・クリューの制作で「Dawn (Go Away)」他、多くのヒットを連発していく事となる。1966年からはフランキーはボブ・クリュー制作でソロ・プロジェクトを開始し、「Can't Take
